Mary Saloniklis (Managing Director)

Mary's qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology)

 

Mary's experience includes:

 

Commencing within the Rehabilitation Industry in 1989, she started MS Vocational Services (now MSVS Consultancy) in 2002.  Mary is the Director of MSVS Consultancy, which employs 13 people and operates out of new premises at 75 Henley Beach Road Mile End.  

 

Mary has worked in both a private and public setting for over 20 years and has been the recipient of numerous awards including:

 
  • Winner Inaugural Workcover SA Recovery & Return to Work Award - Service Provider, Achievement Award 2007

  • Finalist Workcover SA Recovery & Return to Work Award - Service Provider Achievement Award (Individual) 2008) 
  • Finalist in Telstra Small Business Awards South Australia 2008 
  • Nominated for Excellence in Personal Injury management Awards, PIEF 2008 (Personal Injury Education Foundation)

Christine Smitham (Principal)

 

Christine's Qualifications:

  • Graduate Diploma in Social Science in Rehabilitation

Christine's experience includes:

 

Christine commenced within the rehabilitation industry in 1990, joining MSVS Consultancy in late 2009. Her extensive background within the Rehab Industry allows her to bring a depth of knowledge to her role as Principal that is reflected in her professional approach.

 

Christine has a ten year history with another provider where she worked as a Team Leader,Supervisor and more recently as General Manager. She has also worked in Hong Kong facilitating vocational skills training for English speaking adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. She has a particular interest in providing services for people experiencing workplace psychological injury, and has the ability to successfully manage complex and chronic claims.

Rachel Finney (Senior Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

 

Rachel's qualifications:

Rachel's experience includes:

 

Rachel commenced in the Rehabilitation Industry in 2001 and has specialized in assisting individuals with long-term,complex injuries. She has previously assisted rehabilitation companies with quality assurance and consistently looks at ways to improve return-to-work services.

 

Rachel joined MSVS Consultancy in 2007 and has a strong background in placing job seekers into new employment. She has a range of employer networks and her ongoing communication with these agencies has enhanced a positive return to work process.

 

Rachel has also been involved with educating employers with the benefits of taking on injured workers in the workplace and works with both registered employers and self-insured. Vocational Counselling, Suitable Employment Assessments, as well as Compulsory Third Party & Defence Department work has all been successfully undertaken by Rachel as well as Pre-Injury & Job Seeking files.

Kerryn Maxfield (Senior Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

 

Kerryn's qualifications:

Kerryn's experience includes:

 

Kerryn commenced work within the Rehabilitation Industry in 2002 and has extensive experience both with claims management and rehabilitation services.  She joined MSVS Consultancy in 2005 and has experience both with return to work pre-injury employer and transition and job-seeking services.

 

Kerryn has successfully worked with Insurance Agents, Self-Insured Employers, Government and Department of Defence and has been individually nominated for several awards including:

 
  • 2007 WorkCover Recovery and Return to Work Awards

  • 2008 for the WorkCover Recovery and Return to Work Awards - Finalist

Kerryn has also been involved with developing and managing a number of projects. These have included:

  • A job-seeking pilot project utilising the services of a Job Network Provider to assist placing injured workers into suitable employment.

  • Involvement in the development, implementation and management of an Intensive English and Job-Seeking Skills program for CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) clients

Kerryn specialises in undertaking career counselling and suitable employment assessments to assist clients with identifying alternative employment paths when they are unable to return to their pre-injury vocation.

Claire Young (Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

 

Claire's qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Behavioural Science (Psychology)

  • Diploma in Language (Spanish)
  • TESL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

Claire's experience includes:

 

Claire began work with MSVS Consultancy in early 2010 and is a registered Workplace Rehabilitation Provider with WorkCover SA.

 

Claire is recognised for her work with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) clients, both in Australia and overseas.  She has taught English in Spain for three years at the Euro-English Language Centre and through her work with the centre; has gained extensive experience, from basic through to advanced tutoring.

Job Seeking, CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse), and Pre-Injury files have all been successfully undertaken by Claire, she also volunteers  with the Australian Refugee Association where she works as a family support for refugee families from Afghanistan. 

 

Claire assists with resumes and job applications and undertakes support services, such as tutoring and assisting new immigrants adjust to living and working in Australia.

Kimberley Marshall (Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

 

Kimberley's qualifications:

Kimberley's experience includes:

 

Kimberley Marshall joined MSVS Consultancy in 2010, with a strong background in Psychology, Project Administration, Work Placement Specialisation, Rehabilitation and Employment Services.

 

Delivering job seeking support to clients through Job Clubs, Pre-Employment Workshops & Employability Skills Modules is Kimberley's specialty. She is able to assess a client's capacity, limitations, previous employment history, training and certificates to establish suitable work placements goals pursuant to the Worker's Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (1986).  Kimberley then provides coaching to clients on resume development, tailoring application letters, self-marketing and interview preparation.

 

Kimberley is also currently undertaking the role of Project Coordinator for the "Re-Invent Yourself...Life After Injury Program" in conjunction with Alchemy Training, and funded by the RTW Innovation Fund.

Graeme Daw (Senior Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

Graeme's experience includes:

 

Graeme has recently joined MSVS Consultancy and has 11 years experience in both the Rehabilitation Industry and as an Employment Consultant, successfully working in both the Workers Compensation Industry & the Job Network.  Securing employment for long term unemployed job seekers, as well as assessing complex cases & developing strategies to assist placement is Graeme's speciality.  He has also been extensively involved in developing and conducting Job Search Training Workshops.

 

Graeme has an extensive network of employers for job placements and has also delivered recruitment services on behalf of employers.  He has worked in Human Resources, Insurance & Finance as well as being Self-Employed.  Whilst completing undergraduate studies Graeme also undertook a number of process & assembly jobs.

Daniella Pacillo (Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

Daniella has also been involved in providing volunteer services for her local community & the Campbelltown City Council which has enabled her to build strong working relationships, and interact with a multi-disciplinary group of people.  At MSVS Consultancy she will assist with all aspects of placing job seekers into new employment.

Jason Wessel (Workplace Rehabilitation Provider)

 

Jason's qualifications:

Jason's experience includes:

 

Jason has a strong academic background in psychology and counselling, with a particular research focus on the psychological and physiological aspects of sleep.  Jason has practical experience in the management of sleep research, interpretation of physiological information and the diagnosis of sleep disorders.

 

Jason has experience with clients experiencing disadvantage, and having complex needs.  He has experience in crisis counselling, as well as generalist counselling with experience in planning and the setting of realistic goals to bring about change.  Jason brings his personal knowledge and experience of a wide range of workplaces including the retail industry (large and small businesses), hospital environments, and outdoor/labouring environments.

Dr Grant Tschirn (Occupational Physician)

 

Qualifications:

Consultant Occupational Physician (2009), Accredited Permanent Impairment Assessor with WorkCover SA, Accredited Impairment Assessor with Comcare, Accredited Assessor, Dept of Veteran Affairs

 

Dr Grant Tschirn served in the Royal Australian Airforce medical branch for three years then RAAF Reserve (current).  He held positions as senior medical officer RAAF Edinburgh, Senior Health Officer (military health) SA, Project Officer Defence Health Services Canberra.  He has worked in the medical field in NT, NSW & ACT. 

 

Grant is a Director of WorkAir Pty Ltd & associated companies delivering a comprehensive range of service portfolios, for example:  Rehabilitation and Injury Management, IME, On-site Medical Management, Pre-employment Medicals, Wellness Programs and also provides an on call 24/7 response to the Occupational Health needs of workplaces.

Dr Michael Clarke (Psychiatrist)

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, Uni of Adelaide, Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, Examiner of candidates for Fellowship of RANZCP, Regular appointment to Medical Panels SA

 

Dr Michael Clarke works as a general adult Psychiatrist in the private sector and has had experience in the public sector. He has provided opinion to criminal and civil courts.  Michael has particular interest in workers compensation as a treating Psychiatrist, and he also conducts regular Independent Medical Examinations for a wide variety of compensating authorities.

Paul Kassapidis (Psychologist)

 

Qualifications:

BA (Hons), B.Soc.Admin, Grad. Dip. Comm.Langs, Qualified Social Worker, NAATI Qualified, Level 2 in Modern Greek, Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Institute of Private Practicing Psychologists (IPPP) SA Branch, Visiting Clinical Tutor to the School of Medicine at Flinders University.

 

With over 20 year’s experience, Paul is a psychologist in a full time private practice and has extensive experience across health, welfare, education and management sectors specialising in trauma psychology, work injury management, and migrant mental health.

Richard Fuller (Specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapist)

Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy, Uni of SA, Grad Dip Occupational Health & Safety Management, Uni of Adelaide, Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP). Specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2011).  Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). Richard has partnered with MSVS Consultancy as a Specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapist.  He has 20 years’ experience in private practice and workers compensation across a wide variety of industry groups.  Richard has a particular interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy & Occupational Rehabilitation and has expertise in providing: ADL assessment, Independent Clinical Assessment, Medico-legal Assessment, Pre-employment Medical Assessment, Functional Assessment, Job Analysis, Worksite Assessment, Provide Graduated Return to Work Programs, Treatment, Ergonomic Consultancy, Risk Assessment & Management, Manual handling, injury prevention training.

Cassandra is passionate about injury prevention and assisting people towards a healthy life, not only for the present but for years to come.  She integrates her skills in the assessment of human movement and biomechanics with consideration of the ergonomic factors of the surrounding environment.  Cassandra and her team focus on injury management strategies to facilitate individual and corporate clients to foster long-term wellness. Cassandra has expertise in providing Task Analysis & Worker Functional Assessment on Job Fit Systems.  This proactive rather than reactive approach has led Cassandra to devise a wellness program for school-aged children, which is currently in development.

Lisa Harman (Physiotherapist)

 

Qualifications

Bachelor of Human Movement & Health Studies, Uni SA, Master of Physiotherapy, Uni SA

 

Lisa is tertiary trained in all areas of Human Movement and Health studies including exercise & sports science, exercise prescription, sports psychology, and advanced applied biomechanics.  She is also trained in all areas of Masters in Physiotherapy including musculosketal, advanced rehabilitation, acute care (advanced hospital care), orthopaedics & neurological rehabilitation.  Lisa also has expertise in providing Task Analysis & Worker Functional Assessment on Job Fit Systems.

 

Lisa has extensive experience working with orthopaedic & sports patients, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, patient post-op orthopaedic rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, conducting exercise classes, as well as testing fitness levels & designing rehabilitation programs for orthopaedic & cardiac patients.  Lisa believes that independence, anatomical restoration & functional excellence is what patients want to achieve – she works closely with her patients to deliver the finest treatment through education & encouragement thereby supporting them to achieve their goals.

Vincent Wu (Physiotherapist)

 

Qualifications

B.S. Physical Therapy, Chinese Medical University, Taiwan.  Masters of Orthopaedic, Sports & Manual Therapy UniSA

 

Vincent has comprehensive experience in individualised assessment & treatment of injured workers; he has worked extensively designing exercise & rehabilitation programs & is able to successfully motivate recently immobilised or elderly patients towards recovery. 

 

Vincent performs extensive patient evaluations, such as range of motion, functional activity analysis & ergonomic assessments.  He is able to integrate a variety of therapies that complement manual handling practises for the benefit of patients, and has a particular interest in Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy, Acupuncture & Dry Needling, Clinical Reasoning, Chronic Pain Education Management & Neurological Rehabilitation.  Vincent has a holistic approach to aiding recovery & wellbeing in his patients.
